On September 25th, World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria will be released world wide, sometime later S12 of the PvP Arena season will start. So how does this irrelevant piece of information affect you? Well, three members of CT will be partaking in the season and pushing for the number one slot!

The team Roster is as follows:
1/8 of weed
BarytaQ
Eugene

1. What classes is everyone playing?
Weed will be playing a shaman
Bary will be playing Warlock(possibly warrior in the future, no definite)
Eugene will be playing Hunter or Rogue all though he does have a multitude of characters he can play.

2. Can I watch?
Sure! With the release of this expansion, Eugene will be transitioning his twitch.tv channel to the streaming of primarily WoW BGs, and Arenas. His associated youtube account, will also featured commentary on various BGs, thoughts on classes, and highlights from the streams. Schedule TBD.

3. Can I play with you guys?
If we like you enough, sure!

4. How does this affect me?
It doesn't. I just thoughts this would be a fun thing for people to know in case they want to watch or something.

5. I don't like World of Warcraft.
That isn't a question.

I play a damn good rogue, but not a fan of Pandas. Btw if you do go through with this I will be severely dissapoint if you don't atleast try to transmog into a piratey look instead of using pirate wands or deviate surprise.

It is a simple intro video, quality sucks but i am working on it. Its mostly just me explaining my approach and choices. Expansion comes out the 25th and I plan on doing some more videos and streaming then.

I enjoy listening to your intros, and explanations etc. And I do think you have quite the potential here.

However, what I would recommend is if you write a script, record video, then add the audio. There's a lot of empty words that distract and make people lose interest or come across as unprofessional. And given you're seeking to be a professional commentator/gamer, I'd figure now would be a good time to help refine your practice.

The first 12 seconds:

"Alright, What's up guys? This is sleeples here. And I used the introductory what's up guys, but whatever, I like it. So... I'm gunna.. uh.. kind of.. bring this channel back from the dead."

What did I learn? You are sleeples. You brought back a channel from the dead.

Modern commentators cram everything they can at you to keep you engaged. Some thing I'd recommend:

"Welcome one and all to _____insert whatever you will call your line of videos here___. Sleeples here and today I am going to to explore the Warrior class."

I timed myself. It took me 5 seconds to say it.

In 5 seconds, I welcomed the audience, said my name and told them what they would learn.

This is a lesson I wish more people on the internet would learn. I hate tutorials for software where the author opens up by introducing himself and his show and explaining what lesson he will be teaching. For example:

"Hi, guys. It's Dave, this is the Dave Show and today we'll be learning about raytracing..."

If I was stumbling upon this hypothetical Dave's show on late night TBS, I'd understand the need to introduce everything. On the internet, most of the information is right on the screen in the title and it's very likely that you either searched for the tutorial in question or that you stumbled upon a link and its description jumped out at you. I tend to attribute long introductions to hubris or inexperience. My advice is simple. You should get yourself a nice, clean and identifiable logo to really drive your brand and then let concise videos of outstanding quality show off your worth. Brevity is not just the soul of wit, it's the trademark of a true online professional.

I understand branding, I would love to have a jingle to play before all of my videos. The problem lies in the fact I need original content, and am currently broke. However I should have a video out later today, and would love your opinion on how I do.
