TF2 and BFBC2 recently started running like a turd - u think it's steam or something else?? they are unplayable...

In what way are they running poorly? Generally though, I'd think Steam doesn't itself make games run poor, and if it's happening with two it's likely something else...

Also re: defragging, assuming he's running Win7, it does it itself all the time.

Overall laggy as hell - just plain shit - i have noticed other apps lagging now though so it's probably not steam or one of the games iteself..

I game exclusively on a WinXP PC - but the load is so old - probably 2 years now - that it's time for a new load.

I boot to different hard drives for different things on that PC (which is the only one that has a half way decent graphics board) - so I should just grab a drive and load a new OS on it and just steam games...
