Tf2 validating files -.-

So recently I have not been able to run TF2, it keeps validating steam files and then stops at 100% and does nothing. I close it and launch TF2 again and the same thing happens. This problem has been happening on and off for a while. The only solution I have found is uninstall steam and TF2 all together and reinstall. Quite frankly, I would like to avoid that. Any ideas?

try deleting random file in TF2 folder in steam and the verify game cache

I had the same issue in the past and deleting/renaming the blob worked.

I had the same problem when I first started playing tf2. The fix docs gave you is what helped me a bit, but then it would just continue. My computer eventually blue screened sometime in July, and I had to reinstall tf2 once it was fixed. Since then, I have not had any of those issues.

So, if the problem is not fixed with what docs said, you'll probably just have to reinstall the game.

Well the game has been running so i think it worked. But like i said, it happens on and off. It could come back. Valve fix your shit <_<
