TF2 acting up on me

It's having all sorts of intermittent problems - sometimes it won't let me join games. Other times, it will go to the game loading screen, but then say that it timed out. Sometimes, it will get the first three boxes on the progress bar, then just stop indefinitely.

I've been able to get into one game in the past 2 weeks. Once I got in the game, it worked perfectly. Any ideas what this could be?

TF2 used to do all these sorts of shenanigans to me as well before i got the steam update. Haven't had many issues lately though, I dunno what to tell you

I've had weird issues from time to time with it; usually a reinstall fixed the issue. Have you tried right click » delete local content, then kill its folder inside steamapps, then redownload and reinstall from scratch?

You can also do a validation, which is a lot faster than a reinstall. Worth trying first. Still, it sounds more like a network issue. Any other internet-related issues?

I downloaded Steam, installed it, and everything went back to normal. Did not have to re-download games or change settings or anything.
