This game is fun as hell. Its addictive like Pirates, and there is more opportunity for group coordination than Pirates.

The combat is more deliberate than twitch. This makes collaboration more possible than BFPs (and most FPS multiplayer games) hyper play style. I havent seen any clan tags but I am confident they are out there.

How is the netcode in this game? Is it laggy with 64 players?

I have played with 64 people and its OMG CRAZY (e.g., 40 people bunched onto a 80-foot stretch of street swinging axes and trying to get horses unstuck from doorways etc.) - but not laggy.

The game is broken and frustrating on a high-ping server (I avoid Chinese severs Razz

). But if you play with a good ping (>100, 150 is about most I will play) things go quite well. I doubted the game's ability to channel so much data for a multi-player online game, but I was wrong. It works surprisingly well with lower ping. Sometimes your victims fall off horses and act weird if THEY have a poor ping, but its a pretty minor niggle.

Anony, I will try to be on XFire and playing this evening. XFire doesnt support Warband, or vice-versa.

starts slow, but gets better. Im not really down with this guys play style, but there is a lot of play style variability.

Single player is better, thought not that much more if you have the latest M&B. It seems to better track your actions. There seems to be a mariage aspect now too. But I havent played the single player much. I am looking forward to the mods though.

They are still adding features for M&B 1. Rolling Eyes

All of that crap will be difficult to port, assuming they EVER release the beat... I doubt it will ever go to Warband, but I have misjudged plenty in the past so who knows. My bet is "no" though. Sad
