Apparently, DICE and EA are on their way back to WWII, rumours abound online this week that the firms will begin lifting the lid on Battlefield 1943: Pacific at New York's Comic Con shindig.

We've know about an unannounced Battlefield project for some time, EA pulling an announcement earlier this week because of heavy snow, but none the less Comic Con's schedules appear to spill the beans - EA rapidly pulling mention of postcards to be delivered at the show.

We hear chatter of Battlefield 1943 being developed by DICE for release on the Xbox 360 and PS3, which could mean that this title is console only... or this could all be utter nonsense of course.

We're hoping for official word from EA soon, who should be taking the wraps off this sizable release in anticipation of a launch later this year. Watch this space.

I saw that too! 1943. + Pirates, 1 year later... Wink

hopefully the tools and engiine are identical except for graphics. Remake/port Pirates + new community!
