Funny that you posted this, Anony and I were discussing the awesomeness of ordering pizza online from Domino's. The shit is unreal - tells you who is touching your pizza and where it's at in the process. Sucks that it was like $15 for a medium, and then those sick fucks taunt me with two for $12 coupons :-/

I'm a plain cheese pizza man all the way. In fact, i've had so much cheese pizza in my young life, I dare call myself a cheese pizza connoisseur. I know my cheese pizza, and don't you ever double-guess me on any pizza judgments.

As for my favorite .... hmmmmmm. On a good day, cooked right, Pizza Hut Pan is so greasy and delicious. The truth is, any local brick oven type place that uses enough sauce (the key) and cooks the crust right has a good pizza. It's amazing how cheese pizza can taste so different from different places...

Anyone here familiar with Gumby's pizza?

Aye, Hawaiian . Ham and pineapple ftw. Also love sausage, hamburger, bbq chicken and carmelized red onions, everything, they make this Thanksgiving pizza that rocks... Shit I like it all.

Supreme.

If you can eat it, throw it on a pizza crust with cheese and sauce and give it to me.

My personal favorite is one a made from scratch one day: Basic crust, homemade sauce with some worchestershire and chili powder to give it a kick, some sort of crumbly Mexican cheese my room mate bought at a carniceria, thin sliced pork sausage(slaughtered and sent to a local butcher by a friend whose family raises hogs), yellow squash, and red bell peppers.

Excellent and time consuming but worth it.

I'm with Mike on this. Been a plain cheese guy all my life. Of course I can go for some pepperoni or sausage sometimes, but I love my cheese.

On a good side note, here is something everyone should know how to do if you dont already. Improving frozen pizzas is a good piece of knowledge. Most frozen pizzas nowadays are pretty modest: not much cheese, not much toppings if any. Heres what you do. Sprinkle some seasonings on there. Maybe some garlic powder (I love garlic) some oregano, maybe some cilantro leaves, crushed red pepper if you want some spice, sweet basil even. But be very modest on the seasonings, find a good mixture that you like, but more than a little of one thing can send it over the edge, so I usually stick with oregano, garlic and red pepper. Next, add some Parmesan cheese. I find this works best for the texture of the pizza. Usually when you cut a frozen pizza cheese slides off of a few pieces and those pieces are less satisfying. I've learned that parmesan cheese holds everything together so that when you cut the pizza, theres not much sliding cheese. Get some other cheese, whatever you feel like and put however much you want on the mofo. I'm a cheddar man. Just had one of these earlier today. Takes a little longer to cook, but they're 10x better than before.

Well done, well done.

I must augment the things Trav has said - I never EVER use a microwave to make or reheat pizza. Some people in my family always microwaved their pizza and we'd get into loud arguments about it - I refuse to let the food be degraded like that. So I always cook my pizza in a toaster oven or a regular oven - usually a toaster oven, at least for smaller pizza and single slices, is sufficient.

I am not a fan of lots of cheese. Personally I like the sauce:cheese ratio to be more partial to the sauce. I have found that supplemental parmesan cheese can be very enthralling. In fact, when I make my own pizza from scratch, I've found uncooked parmesan shaken on is unbelievably delicious.

Most grocery stores carry a store-brand pizza for like $1.00 a pop. At Kroger, there are 3-ish kinds. One is a small pizza for $.75 advertised as microwaveable. They're really not too great. The next one up is like $1 and a bit bigger. Then there are the gourmet-DiGiorno knockoffs (BTW DiGiorno rising crust us some of the best crust I have ever tasted in my life). The $1 ones are great for a quick meal . You just tuck 'em away in the freezer and save 'em for bad times. They are really easy to make in the toaster oven and take like 20 mins tops (if you like a crispier crust like me I guess)

Microwaved pizza is crappy, it feels like wet cloth or something. I love plain cheese too but also like topping it with various meats and peppers, just pepperoni, or lots of spices. Sauce is the clincher for me, needs a quality sauce with lots of it. Needs a good cheese covering but not gobs of it. Crust is best black. Smile But thick, unburnt heavy crust is great too. Or thin crust....but that's usually because it burns.

microwave pizza does suck. But I will eat it on occasion. Razz

When I eat plain pizza I swear I could eat a WHOLE pizza. The toppings seem to make each piece FAR more satisfying and keeps me from pigging out. But I think I preferred plain pizza (in volume and often) until I was like 25...
