Other than the awesome novelty of Mario Kart 64 battle mode on the source engine and (i assume) online play, is there anything else cool they're doing? New tracks, characters or what ever?

ah my first console... N-64... gotta love those days..

mario kart rocked.. i cant wait to play this but then i would have to get Wii

and im not really inclined to getting it..

It pisses me off how Nintendo has this aversion to PC. I wish they'd let some of their stuff port over.

I'd be surprised if they didn't, considering Nintendo is currently selling Mario Kart 64 for the Wii. Plus, Nintendo is pretty protective of their IP.

It'll be a sneak attack, they'll have this thing too far along to be scrapped altogether. What worries me is a lack of interest if it's a good mod. I'm still mad that that Dodgeball one died as fast as it did. I can't believe everyone just quit it altogether. It was really, really fun. Anyway, it's good to see the community is still working on really interesting stuff in any case.

Dodgeball wasn't that great, IMO. We had fun with it for a while, but it was just ... something that shouldn't be a video game. Let's go play real dodgeball!
