WoW ruins family

Saw it on another forum and I just had to share it.

Well I ask her what happened with her Husband (Husband is 43) and she said he was addicted to something on the computer and she couldn't get him away from it, they stopped doing things together (never went out/no sex) and it ended up ruining her Marriage. Well I asked her what this "something else was" and she said have you ever heard of a game called World of Warcraft? laugh

Ok so since this is a short story here are some keynotes:

1) Husband got himself and the 2 children into playing the game.
2) Had his own construction business and stopped doing work and calling back customer so he went out of business.
3) Lied about not paying the Gas Bill for over 1 year drove up a $10,000 debt.
4) January the 3 y/o caught pneumonia from the house being cold for a week while the Gas Company shut everything off.
5) Husband left to live with his sister (when the wife kicked him out) under the agreement that he would live there for free if he helped with construction.
5) His sister just told the Wife that he has done nothing for her except play WOW and now she is about to kick him out.
6) Judge ordered him several weeks ago to get names of places he gave resumes to to show he is looking for a job (for child support) This numskull goes back to playing WOW and disregards the Judges order.
7) Goes back in front of the Judge several days ago with a blank piece of paper and lies saying he found a job at the Home Depot. Judge asks how much will you be making? He says I don't know, I was supposed to go in today and find out but since I was ordered to come to court, I had to be here instead.

He even told her he wished he lived on a deserted Island where he could only play WOW. laugh

though that has nothing to do with the game, everything to do with the idiots who play them

Ok, I exaggerated it's "pointlessness," which can be argued, anyway. To put it simply, I think the game "sucks." I informed myself of this when I tried the trial version of the game. The guy in the subject of the post wasted his time on a "sucky" game. Instead of recognizing his time wasting, he proceeded, as a blind fool would, to not care for life problems. Of course it isn't the game's fault, because obviously it isn't addicting for some people, like me. You can see why the game isn't addicting for everyone by looking at bewmius' posts, because he clearly doesn't like it.

Well, I don't hate WoW that much. Razz

I just think its too overrated.
