I just spent a week in hawaii Very Happy

I'll upload some pics soon. I rode in this old biplane and did a tour of Kauai, then proceeded to actually get HIT by a turtle in the ocean later that day. This brings me to my main point: I want a turtle. Im gonna make every effort to somehow land a large tourtoise that is fucking big and will outlive me. I dont know anywhere to get a bigass turtle though Sad

Any help?

OMG ninja training ftw!

I had a HUGE alligator snapper try to come in through my basement window. My family was in our basement doing something and mt wife was like what is that? It was a huge turtle clawing at turf trying to push through the glass!!! I scared it away from the window but it camped (nested under) the bushes in our front yard - sometimes ranging to the road but never leaving. This thing looked like a dinosaur all wrinkled and CLAWED. Like this, (but they are way bigger when the stand up):

Not much for a pet but it did wonders to keep dogs and cats out of the yard. Very Happy

My parents just got back too (weekend before last). I was afraid they got stuck in that usual rain that broke dams, flooded, and killed people in Kuaii. Razz

that thar be a soup turtle... and if ou really wanted it gone, theyre easy to outmart.... stand/sit on the shell (theyre not much for running away) & poke him in the nose with a nice heavy (reasonably long) stick or pipe... wait for him to latch on & have someone pull on the stick to pull his head ot of the shell... as soon as you see neck, down goes the hatchet

(ps, stay the hell away from the head for a good long while... if it does eventually let go of the stick & you poke it again, it will snap shut very hard.... up to a day or 2 after the head has been detached, its friggin creepy, but cool)
