Pics from India -

Album 1 - Travelling to India
Start at LAX, fly 10 1/2 hours to Frankfurt (there's MicD's in Frankfurt!!), 3 hour layover, then 8 1/2 hours to Mumbai India. Arrive @ 1:35 AM and get driven to the Le Meridian Hotel right by the airport. Pics along the way and driving around Mumbai the 1st 2 days.

Snaps(pics) taken during my stay in Mumbai, India. The deep and widespread poverty is shocking and depressing, but the gentleness of these people under these conditions is truly amazing.

2 of my favs are:

Down this little side street there were shops with names like this: Suresh Xerox and Computers where you can learn to type, or learn excel, word and access, even programming like VB, C/C++.

It shows that even in a place like this people are trying to better themselves through learning technology so that they can get better paying jobs.

I only took a couple of pic but the ENTIRE street had shops like this on both sides.

I got news for ya, if you get a loan through Sun Trust Bank its highly likely that the loan paperwork is being processed over there. My wife lost half her department to off-shore.

What I meant is that far more than just call centers are being off shored. People identify call centers because of their personal experience with help desk issues, but offshoring is much more than call centers. Accounting, Programming, Testing, Project Management, Documentation, Design (both Graphical and Usability),Call Centers, Network Support, etc etc etc...

And actually I can almost guarantee the Loan paperwork is processed here Onshore. OK OK that's really a tricky statement. answer below:

hehe they use Citrix or Blade servers so they log into your wife's company's network.
