i cant help but look at sony & laugh like hell now....

ok, story time with supa, evryone on the story rug

once upon a time, there was a little boy named nintendo. he liked to play with the other children & after being in town for a while, had become friends with pretty much everyone. then one day a new kid named sony moved in. sony didnt like nintendo, he thought that nintendo was stealing "his" friends, so he di everything he could do to win them over. nintendo on the other hand, quietly sat back & took it, knowing that his true friends would stand by him. time passed & there came a division between nintendos friends & sonys friends. well, time went on & both boys grew up... thats when sonys friends began to realize that nintendo was still pretty cool & that there should be room for both people, so some of sonys friends started hanging around nintendo too. this made sony maaaaaaaad. he didnt want to share his friends, so his attempts to keep them got more & more desperate until he couldnt do it anymore. in the end, the patience of nintendo paid off & everyone found out that sony was just a big jerk

what it basically boils down to is a clash of buisiness models (the story that nonny postesd a while back) nintendo doesnt see a reason o "compete" with sony & merely tries to play the co-existence role... and it makes them money. sony on the other hand is leaking money out of their r&d budget like crazy & need to make up the lost revenue because of their lack of patience... and with nintendos genuis name swap right before e3, it pissed sony off even more b/c that was the buzz at e3, not ps3 (althought they did generate a bit of a buzz when one of the ps3s froze up, lol)

I can see how their idea would work, but only if all the consoles did that. Right now, Nintendo is looking at them going, "HA HA HA HA!!!"

The PS3 on the other hand is going, "KAMAKAZI!!!!!"

Well Nintendo is competing, they just idled while Sony and Microsoft duked it out. They had enough money to just up their hardware. All they did was made sure Microsoft and Sony started getting a basic core built. Then they released theirs (Or what they were making). By doing so, Sony and Microsoft are thinking, "Oh SHIT! Their new technology has outdated us!"

Now either of them can start over again trying to acquire the new technology, or they can release their stuff anyways and wait till next time. Chances are, they'll wait till next time. IF sony can even survive. :/

well Sony's trying to catch up to Nintendo in THIS generation, unfortunately, they accidently copied the technology of Kirby Tilt n' Tumble (great game, by the way) for the GAMEBOY COLOR instead of the Wiimote! Very Happy

It's not the fact that I can't resell the games I paid for that pisses me off, because i never do anyhow. It's the fact that sony has the balls to come to my front door and tell me what I can and cannot do with something I paid Good $ for. WTF?

It's a lot like Napster, sure you can download all the songs you want every month, but stop subscribing and you can't play a single one.....

It's almost as funny as those pirating dvd's is a crime intro that some major dickhead corporation decided to put on EVERY DVD they sold, so now we get to watch it everytime we legally purchase their movie.
