how's bf2?

i need a new staple game and i figured everyone's gonna be playing bf2 so i ask how is it? fun? i've read reviews but i wanted to see what real people thought. i played the demo and it was iffy, probably because i was in a server with a bunch of pub nubs who didn't try any teamwork- i figure with the old ct crew we can pwn anyone. how's the commander thing? decent?

its buggy as all hell, but i think ive hit & fixed every bug so far, so if u have a prob, lemme know & i could help... gameplay wise, i think they did all right... balance is good, vehicles arent overpowering & even on foot it doesnt take an hour to get to the fight

-I still get that crackling sounds, but I figured that I was lucky that it even ran on my p.o.s. Geforce FX5200XT AGP 8x card.

-The demo seemed to run good, but it also had the crackling noise.

-Retail kept asking for disc 2 even though disc 2 was in the drive. Popped in disc 1 and it worked. -_-

Plus lately my monitor will go black on its own. If I leave it off for awhile, then turn it back on its fine. I thought the monitor might be acting up since its not running on the res its supposed to be running at. Its a hp f1703 and is supposed to be 1280x1024 @ 60hz. For bf2 I have to run it on 600x800 or some shit. Ive tried forcing bf2 to run it at 1280x1024 but it gets REAL laggy. Looks great, colors look better and everything, but runs like shit then. At least for bf2. If you got any fixes that might help, plz, let me know. Very Happy

Other than that the games been ok. I love the squad/team based play Very Happy

C4 has been real fun to play with. Very Happy

From blowin bridges with enemys on em, to packing a buggy full of em and driving top speed into an enemy position honknig the horn like a madman, Twisted Evil

then hoppin out so that the buggy goes a few feet before blowing it. GREAT for takin out a tank fast, or artillery/uav/radar. Laughing

The stuff just comes in handy, lets put it like that. Wink

We got to get a CT squad going n in get in a game sometime soon. Hit me up on xfire for a game. Very Happy

I already tried playing with the eax settings. Didnt help. Crying or Very sad

You think its a good idea for me to update it with that new patch? I was worried that it would quit working because alot of the forums that Ive been reading on, said that after they updated, their game would c.t.d. after the splash screen... Confused

Ill try updating for the hell of it. Cool

Worse case scenerio I just reinstall BF2. Wink

good news guys.... by the time BFP 2 comes out, I'll have me video card, BF2 and Half-life. Me birfday is coming up on Oct. 14 and I'll get the card then. I'll buy BF2 shortly afterwards and then for Half-Life 2, I'm gonna buy when I return from Gulf Shores. Get ready to be owned bisnatches!! Twisted Evil

Installed the patch n bf2 still works. Very Happy

The crackling noise is still there though. Crying or Very sad
