where can i get XP pro....

does any one know of a place on line that has a full coppy of XP pro with out sp2 for around 4120?
it would also be nice if they had the rep of some place like Newegg.

and yes i do want it to be the real thing not a coppy or download.

edit: oh it will also be nice if i could have it by wendsday at the latest.

b/c Sp2 screws pirates bigtime, I couldnt play pirates for a long time, cuz I thought my disc was f'ed so i took a long break. Then wang was like uninstall sp2, and mysterious bf works again. I even had my sec. settings low and no firewall.

sp2 sucks the big one. I dunno if I would pay 4 grand not to get it though....... Rolling Eyes

I just loaded XP Pro (with said SP2) and my PC runs sweet. At least better than 2000 anyway - though i would not have expected any better than it does. I have no complaints - in fact i am quite pleased to be honest.

My old man hooked me up with XP home. He got it direct from microsoft through the place he works and he got me a deal ($64). I suggest doing the same if you work at a place that uses like microsoft servers and stuff.

OMG I'll beat Supa to it, i'll get you a copy of XP SP2 for $4000! I'm closer so i'll get their faster!

SP2 has it's ups and downs. If it works fine with games, leave it as is. Great for j00. If your games suddenly fuck up, get rid of it. I don't have it, because I'm afraid it'll fuck my games up Smile

I have a feeling it has to do with the order of installation. If you put SP2 on first, before you put the games on, I bet it works fine. I think I read an article on slashdot, however, that SP2 is very secure and patches a lot of holes.

actually, i installed sp2 after a lot of my games & have had nary a problem... u just have to make sure to allow em thru the firewall & u should be good to go

I have SP2 on this PC and it is fine. I can't run it on my work laptop though. As soon as I install it the PC comes to a screaching halt and I can't do crap until its taken off.

I connected to a server and everything, but when it got all the way done loading a map it crashed. This happened w/ every mod, and vanilla itself.
I checked to see if I had newest patch, and i uninstalled/reinstalled bf three times.
I think it has to do with when you dld it, cuz i did this when it first came out

any way if you are able to uninstall sp2 if there is a problem with it, then i gues i can live with it.
