How to deal with the 1.3 Nether Portal Glitch

In 1.3, there is a rather nasty glitch that can occasionally happen to you when you go through a nether portal. Basically, it causes you to fall out of the world.

I have found a way to deal with it. If it happens, IMMEDIATELY log out. You should be able to do this before dying if you are fast. When you rejoin, you will be at the portal. It's not perfect. Sometimes you get stuck in the obsidian of the portal itself and have to break it. But at you don't die.

If you're an op you could probably also go into creative mode and fly away. Not sure the command but could use AutoHotKey to bind a key to open chat, type command, and double jump to fly... I use to have one for /home on servers that allowed that.

If relogging fixes it, it sounds like it's probably the chunks not loading properly around you when you make the world transition.

1.3.2 has been released which fixes a couple things, including this. Will we need to update the server ourselves?
