Thanks man, those are some good points.

I probably feel the way I do about Thor because I don't like the depiction of Thor in these movies. I saw him more of a guardian than portrayed.

Loki may be a god, but that doesn't mean he can't have any human tendencies. As a reference, both in Greek and Norse mythology, the gods had the same attributes that humans do. The caved to affairs, desires of war and domination, etc. I find it justifiable that Loki could succumb to corruption. If Thor can display human traits as you indicated, so can Loki.

I understand Black Widow's interrogation skills, but I don't think that in that scene she successfully obtained information from Loki.

Back to Hulk, He was ejected from the ship after attacking the Avengers. I, too, have no idea why he showed up to help them.

He made conscious effort not to harm anyone on the plane but he considers his problems to be above them and in all honesty, not worth explaining. No matter how long Thor protects humanity, sticks up for us, and sees good things about people's personality, he always has an innate superiority that he never gets over. Its unconscious, he always consciously preaches equality (and had a rather famous talk with Loki about how Loki is not innately better than humanity, a point they disagree on passionately).

I meant to put that in my post earlier. That's the technical term for that kind of paradoxical arrogant benevolence.

Haha, I was wondering what post you were referring to Ben that you wrote and then I saw you posted before mine. lol

Loki's Ability to wear the mind would make sense. And he gave up far too easily when fighting Iron Man and Capt, on the plane that Thor attacked. And then again when Thor got a hold of him.

The second thing that bugged me was how Hawkeye was converted back to the other side. Seriously? A hit on the head? I was expecting something really cool.

Yea I thought that was pretty lame too. I was expecting when he was all strapped in the chair that they were going to try some crazy stuff to bring him back and that he'd still be psycho, but instead they just released him and everything was fine and dandy...

I mean when black window mentioned the blow "reset the system", in my mind that phrase would mean something more along the lines of kill him and then bring him back to life. That would have been better, as they could have played it off so everyone watching thinks "Oh shit, they killed him" and afterwards the Avengers are like "Lol we meant to do that now bring him back to life"

You are right, Loki is susceptible to human emotions, but what I am saying is that they weren't the right emotions in the movie. Loki has had schemes for power hundreds of times, but he is never literally not remorseful. Generally when Thor has a talk with Loki like he did in Avengers, Loki ends up either realizing he is wrong and tries to help stop what he has started, or is very upset about his actions, but believes and preaches that it is necessary. The unfiltered evil that he expresses is very unlike him.

I agree, they do very little with the knowledge she gains. Apparently there are many deleted scenes, (the movie is 2 and a half hours already) and the extended addition will clear many of those things up (as well as why hulk came back to help)
