Insert Amazing Original Unique Creative Name Here

I'm sorta working on a Starcraft 2 Mod, or Map as some people would prefer to call it.

But it's basically centered around an old Warcraft III map named Impossible Bosses, which was very, very fun back in the day.

The idea is that you are part of a team that has a set of so-called Impossible Bosses infront of you, being teleported between a shop/upgrade area and to their arenas, I want to keep the traditional lineup of...

Fire - Ice - Earth - Lightning - Nature - Free pick (Between Light, Dark, and Water) - Ancient - Demon or Demigod and I planned on adding and additional one which would be a Titan.

Each boss is obviously focused around what attunement they have and take damage from opposite elements but gain health from their own. Each role either does stright up physical damage or damage that belongs to an element.
Note: Only one OR two abilities of a role will heal.

A half-summery of the combat:

The way the combat works is that most, if not all attacks done by bosses are avoidable, each boss has an ultimate abilitiy which instant kills, but there are alot of insta-kill abilities already, that's where an invulnerability ability comes in hand. Each role on the team has the ability to become invulnerable to everything for usually around one second, the amount of invulnerability time there was, was usually dependant on what role you were.. EX: A Ranger would have lesser invulnerability time then someone like a Paladin.

Roles:

Paladin;
A bit of a supporter or semi-tank, they have an area of effect damage buff for their allies, a high damage dealing on next hit strike which grants them brief invulnerability, a small single target heal, and a light damage self-buff. Paladins have the longest invulnerability time out of all the roles.
Paladins also have the ability to ressurect all dead players at the cost of their own life.

Ranger;
Has the longest range out of all the roles, with a single short cooldown area of effect ability that has a generous radius on it. Rangers tend to focus on everything except the boss as some bosses will have summonable minions or special structures. Rangers have two single target damage abilities and a weakness applying damage over time high cooldown ability to throw at the boss while dealing with other important matters. Rangers have a short invulnerability time.

Warrior;
Your standard man of steel who can take a ridiculous amount of punishment and have the ability to grab the attention of a boss through taunting. Warriors have an area of effect ground slam, a charge, a damage-taken reduce ability, and an "Avatar" ability if anyone remembers what that is, they also have the second longest invulnerability time. Though your average Warrior will want to do a combination of avoiding and absorbing what a boss can dish out.

Frostweaver;
Attuned with frost, Frostweavers are a mage-type role who can deal high amounts of damage at the cost of being frail. Frostweavers have a damage-dealing charge ability, an area of effect blast around themselves, a stright up nuke, and a shield which can be placed on other players to absorb damage for them. Frostweavers' abilities leave a chilling debuff. Frostweavers' have a short invulnerability time.

Well i'm tired and that's all for now i'll update this at some point in time since i'm missing a few roles, i'm playing around with numbers from Impossible Bosses and seeing what changes I can make to improve the mod overall other then bringing it to Starcraft 2.

Everything can be suspect to change or I may just give up after working on it for a week. I'd love to see some opinions of the idea in general or suggestions, thanks! Very Happy

If you are doing it in SC2 go for a more sci-fi theme, hell make it something like Warhammer 40k and it will be awesome.

I'll have to look into it. It's an interesting idea but all I know is that space marines slaughter things for a divine emperor and chaos marines are physcopathic warbringers.
