I began to ponder life today, as I am graduating in May and while I do have plans I don't have anything that can support me right away. So I began to think about what I want to do, and what exactly I can do to support myself for what could possibly be quite a bit of time. At which point I began to think long-term, which is a flaw of mine. At this moment I came to a realization, no matter what you do in life, no matter what your religious beliefs are, none of it matters. Whether you are a Lawyer or Garbage Worker, in the end we all meet the same fate, death. What lies after that is a question people much smarter than I strive to answer.

Long term I realized, I don't need to worry about GPA or degree or where I am going to wind up in a year. All anyone needs to do in life is whatever the hell they want. For me that is dedicating my life to video games growing in the main stream, and as long as I can even make a bare minimum living off of that I will be happy.

Just wanted to share this and possibly start a philosophical discussion if there is some interest.

Welcome to post college crisis.

I, too, share the same view. I've been praying for this Lucas job, but then I think about it and it doesn't really matter.

In fact, my personal happiness will not change life as we know it nor would it bare impact on anyone but me. So lately, I've stopped giving a fuck and just let what happens happen. You can only do so much. Regardless of whether or not you get what you desire life will go on.

I guess that would be one way to look at it, in my opinion that is a waste. Life is a wonderful thing that you as yourself get to experience once.

I would talk about general happiness here, and how you living brings joy to your friends and family and by killing yourself you take away that happiness. But honestly if you are dead, you don't really care about all of that unless you believe in the concept of a soul and a Heaven/Hell type afterlife.

Also if you are dead you aren't really happy on account of you being dead, so I could cheat and say it doesn't really apply.
However I will say this, there are some philosophers who do believe in the whole concept of nothing matters, and these people suffered in life due to these opinions (most of which had to do with they did not learn when to be quite). The one I am thinking of, whose name escapes me now, was excommunicated from both Christianity and Jewish religions.

I'm not really sure what the original intent means, but it translates pretty well in my way if you say "Fuck Starcraft, get money." From what I can tell Starcraft isn't pure evil though, while bitches are.

You have much to learn young one. Money being the name of the game, bitches are drawn to it like flies on shit, do em, tease em, toss em. Now there are a few women that are not bitches, but they are hard to spot. Works on them too, to a degree - some are worth toying with a bit longer - but in the end it's all the same.

As far as I know, "Disregard females, acquire currency" is an incorrect interpretation. Indeed, have sex with lots of women while getting money.

Sleep, that's tight man, that's a pretty fundamental realization to have. The way I see it though is that we all are destined to the same ultimate fate but it's on us to see how we get there.
