People have already been talking about the incredible warm front we've had lately, though it seems to have abated for now. These are pictures I took last week while driving around Buffalo in west central MN. The temp went from the low 30s straight to 75ish and stayed there for a week. That brings me to show and tell.

The lake in the photos is Buffalo Lake and it went from being frozen solid to completely thawed in a matter of 48 hours. That's not fog, it's actually steam rising from the lake on a massive scale due to the sudden temperature shock and violent melting process. There was a strong wind that day as well, so this giant cloud of vapor got thrown into downtown Buffalo and obscured anything beyond 50ft in front of you. As I drove through that thing, the temperature gauge on my car dropped nearly 10 degrees in a matter of a few seconds. The lake was essentially a natural fog machine that day the size of several football fields and large enough to blanket an entire neighborhood in a thick mist. Tell me that isn't cool.
