Halloween server gift event!

So I say that tonight we should all get on our event server and take turns getting the random gifts. Basically we have an order for which each person gets an item, the haunted items are on a different listing. This way we each can get all the halloween costumes we want. Anyone in?

sounds good to me. The only time ive played the halloween event people were just playing as scout running around trying to find the presents so I might have a chance this time

So here is the plan:
All-talk will be on so that it is easier to organize this. People will play as usual, however when a gift appears even if you see it you may not pick it up unless it is your turn. There will be a separate turn-list for regular gifts and gifts that appear in the underworld.

Refusal to follow these rules or getting a gift before someone else will constitute a kick and a forfeit of your next three turns.

So here is how its going to work.

We lock down the server
Invite all CT interested, then friends.
I am going to go ahead and ban sentry turrets unless a wrangler is involved as it locks out one team from the boss/gifts.
No-clip will be used to players to the gifts if necessary.
The order of players will be random, once everyone is in I will make a list and randomly pick an order we will stick to for the whole night.

You may pass up your turn if you wish, this doesn't really give you anything.

Also, if someone accidentally takes the gift (it could happen), they can trade it to the person who was on the list.

Sounds good to me. Are there more gifts now than the paper bag masks? I haven't paid attention to the updates...

Also, it's fastest if just the first person to find a gift grabs it and trades it off to whoever it's supposed to go to.

There are now Halloween costumes for each class themed after a different Halloween character.

Also, ones found in the underworld are called haunted. I don't think that does anything special though.

This sounds epic indeed. And as long as we are going to be distributing the items, we can trade each other for the specific class items we are looking for.

I was playing earlier today and was lucky enough to come across two gifts. Being as don't really play anybody but engie, I would love to trade for any of the engie Halloween items (crazy mosquito costume) or for some metal since I still owe docs for the roosebelt. backpack here: http://www.tf2items.com/id/23713 the two items are the silver bullets and intangible ascot.

I'm having issues connecting to the second server. I join, the game starts up and when I get to the loading screen it boots me out to the main screen and freezes. Do I need to download something special for the event map or something? If I get this working, I'll be on tonight for sure.

Ok, so I'm thinking about starting this event around 9 p.m. eastern, and going on for about 2-3 hours.
