Publicity for the forums?

While talking to Imok the other day, he pointed out to me that we don't really have publicity for the forums. We have alot of regulars but one of us always winds up posting the url. Getting people aware of this site could be fairly easy:

1. Change MotD to our logo and server rules or even
2. There is a way to have a server generated message appear in the chat. Something like:

We hope you enjoy your server.
www.ctpirates.net

Sounds like a decent idea to me, though I wonder how much more activity it could generate. Also, more activity isn't always better. It really depends on the people who come. It's good to get our url out there, though.

I'd say skip the splash screen. I disable those things because they're a pain in the butt. Having the little message pop up in chat is far more effective.

We seem to be leaning towards a central hub for players to connect.

We've even had old BFP members join so that they could play with other members and chat on our forums.

I'm up for publicity and I want to see this site bursting with life as it once did.

Well clearly all of these things are being said by ADMINBOT anyways. Sharktits is god is laughable though, I'm for it as well as ADMINBOT insulting me
