Because you need me, and I want to kick motherfuckers who play music on their mics. And I can (probably) help you with getting your server shit straightened out. I ran 2-3 servers back in the day, running CSS and associated mods. We had always-full 12-24 man servers for a few years, and I was a mod and then server admin for 2-3 years of that time, along with clan leader to a amateur CSS clan (3DS) playing in CPL.

I also know some of the folks in CT personally (and have for 8 years or so), so I think I'm pretty trustworthy there.

Anyway, I can't promise # hours put into fixing things up, but I think I can help you guys out.

Fucking join then. And (as i recently learned) our preference is to Silence them instead of a kick - no mic, no chat. Seems to take care of the BS. Re reserve kicks for repeat annoyances and bans for fucktards.

Yeah…silence makes sense instead of kicking. But then it's less team fortress if you're not communicating. But we often aren't anyway…decisions decisions.

Then NO - no non CT admins. If you can't commit, neither should we. Besides, there's one of us around most times - esp. when the server is full.

Wild Bill Thickok is not a CT and he is already an admin. I would like to fill admin slots more based off respect and knowledge; two things we need to make things work. If Imok (who many of us have known for a long time,) can help us I would welcome his help, and I'm sure with his experience he would make a fine admin.

I don't know how to install things like reserved slots and replays, and I was hoping with his help we could get that done. I don't know, but I'd love to be more welcoming to receive help from people that offer it. Can we drop the hostile tone around here?

To you guys who don't know me from ships or CSS, I also adminned the BShips pro website for a couple years before they decided they weren't putting any more effort into it. Along with server and site admin for CHII in CSS.

To explain myself a little more, I'm not willing to apply for CT for 2 reason:

1) I don't know a lot of you guys that well. I play with you in game, but most don't/can't talk a lot, so I want to know what I'm attaching to my name in-game. I know a lot of you, and like a lot of you (hence playing on your server Wink

, but it seems I should know more than that. I'm old-school. Clans have meant a lot to me, and I've had lasting friendships (> 7 years) just due to being in clans (3DS, CHII, DBAS) in CSS and bships over the years. If I find myself still playing a lot of TF2 in the coming months, and get to know the rest of you better, then I could see myself trying out to join y'all. I also don't want to lose the possibility of getting myself, Skreed, Goss, Courier and someone who's a kickass non-CT medic and killing David…I have a long-standing promise to kick his ass Wink

2) I still love my 3DS tag Wink

If you guys decide joining CT is a prerequisite for being a server admin, that's fine, but I'm wouldn't be joining a clan to be an admin. Being admin isn't something that you just do for shits 'n' giggles. I've probably spent weeks of my life adminning when I could have been playing or fucking.

I'll stay out of this thread for now Smile

Also your forums need to be more active. Forums are fuckin' awesome. Advertise them in the MotD? Don't know that they are. Your server mod should also be able to link to it every X minutes, too, in-chat.

most of our guys are getting out of serious studies in school so i am sure the forums will get back to the old glory it once was in have no fear...as for the family aspect of a clan trust me these boys have been there in the darkest days anyone can go thru and stood by me by far the best group of rat bastards ever assembled
