Since Valve decided to make TF2 free, we have had a massive influx of players on the CT egypt server. Indeed, it's been full almost the entire week and it doesn't look like that will change any time soon. Today we did a little tinkering and got our HLStatsX system online, along with other things so the server is fully functional. Hop on and play with us!

We have the others installed on the server, but only egypt in the rotation as a bunch of us pretty much solely play it, and can't play on the other two egypt servers because they either hate us and banned us all or are just tyrannical ego clan (thats literally their clan name, ego, and we hate them.) So this server gives not only us somewhere to play but other people who don't want to deal with the ego or MIT server.

It reminds me of the old BFP days in a way since the people who play egypt generally stick to their favorite servers, so you see the same people day in and out and get to know the community better. So we'll probably keep this box on egypt 24/7 most of the time.

I have to say, Egypt's grown on me somewhat since I started playing with you all on those other servers.... Granary and payloads are still my favorite though!

I would like more variety but I can see why they want to keep it 24/7 egypt. Alot of anony's friends seem to want an altenate to the other 24/7 egypt servers.

Make sure we can get decent round times. I've pushed for that since the beginning. Dustbowl Phase 3 is one of the most grueling maps in the game, yet is balanced out by 15 minute round times to enable lots of tries to crack the defenses of the Red team. I see people get less than half that in Egypt which is every bit as fortified, if not more so. It you consider the need for ubercharges taking a minute to get charged up each with respawn times, that really cuts down on the number of decent pushes.

We can mess with that stuff with the correct addons, I'll keep looking on the forums for something along those lines. Sadly those kind of things are hardwired into the map and must be changed with 3rd party applications, just like we had to do with the respawn times.
