BF2 and no valid cd-key problem

I bought this game and when I install BF2 I can't play in any ranked BF2 server because it says to me no-valid cd-key. Doesn't matter do I install anything else than vanilla BF2+patches. It does work when I don't patch it to 1.41 and 1.5, but then theres really not many servers and mods don't work.

I have uinstalled and installed this 5 times now, but the problem just won't go away. The simple solutions don't work like regedit my cdkey and the ones that might are so hard to understand that it's just impossible.

So annoing that I just bought brand new BF2 complete and this POS of a game won't even work. Anyone else have BF2 or suggestions or had similiar problem?

I had a similar problem when I first bought my 2nd copy of BF2. I can't remember what I exactly did but I am fairly certain I used one of these threads from WaW.

The last two basically tell you to do the same sort of thing and I am 99% certain that is what made it work for me. I'd try those first.

Still didn't do anything. I deleted every BF2 file there is and every regedit file, but this thing just keeps saying you don't have valid cd-key. And I have tried to change the regedit mess with abowe links mentioned, same result.

When you spent couple of hours fixing something as simple as putting your cd-key and playing it online, you sort of lose the will to even play it. Nothing is wrong with the game, it doesn't crash or lag, but simplest thing I can think of gets messed up... Mad

. Screw this game.
