A US army major has opened fire on fellow soldiers at the Fort Hood military base in Texas, killing 12 people and injuring 31, officials say.

Heard this on the radio this morning, crazy stuff.

Barack Obama pretty much summed it up. It's so disgusting that those people would survive combat overseas only to be killed by one of their own on American soil.

I still don't believe this guy was motivated by any kind of crazy religious reasons. He probably just fell on that in order to make it as offensive as possible for shock value. In the end, he's no different than the usual nutjob who does this in a shopping mall. I'm glad he survived so he can spend the rest of his life rotting in a prison cell as a nobody instead of dying in a blaze of misguided glory.

Apparently the shooter is now paralyzed from being shot during his attack:

the man was a shrink, an arab, and was actual going to be brought up for a psych review before the indecent took place.......seems the shrink needed a shrink.......

basically what it comes down to is that some one went bat shit.......i have often said that shrinks have more in common with their clients than with the rest of society.
