I thought this whole serie coudn't get any worse. Every movie sucks in it.

You have pirates and ships, what do you do? Fuck it up. Immortal grab enemies and skeletons? Galleon battles are about forks and fucking knifes? Rolling Eyes

So not really intrested at all in this new movie, if it even makes it. Shit movies all alone. Just had to get that off my chest

Hirm, if you are interested in a realistic pirate film, then yes I agree with you totally. But for sheer entertainment, and the quirky disney takes - I enjoyed all 3 films, the white nothingness thing being a notable exception.

Lets hope they are trying to milk more than 1 more movie out of the franchise, so that this one does not completely suck.

Harry Potter next week, kids made me buy tickets already...

I know. It was quite enjoyable. But they could have been SO much better. You don't need to sexy up the theme or make it more intresting. Hell, everything in this era is intresting. Everytime I think of these movies, I just feel that they were disappointing.
All I asked was a good produced, good actors and high budget pirate movie. And all I see is just a dumbed down comedy, which is all depended on a Jack Sparrow's character and nothing else. I mean everything in this serie is boring without Sparrow.

Not even a good sea battle? Why did they have to take that away?

True. Although technically not a pirate movie, I'm sure you saw Master and Commander. Very satisfying battles there, and pretty realistic.

Haha, I was going to mention Master and Commander. I didn't think too much of Curse of the Black Pearl when it came out. It was another summer blockbuster no different than a new Die Hard movie to me. It wasn't until I watched it again recently that I realized how wholly original it was. It really is a fun movie. It's a shame that it was milked by Disney with such horrible sequels. Dead Man's Chest is the Highlander 2 for a new generation. There is no way that the series can recover now that I hate all the characters.

You weren't the only one. POTC was one of the best things that happened to bfp in terms of public popularity.

Only movie I was entertained by from the three was the first film and the only reason I enjoy the 2nd film was because of the Davey Jones character.

Yeah I'm only here because of it. Tried to get 0.11 working and the maps never finished loaded. Saw PotC. Decided to make it work and did (always failed unless I installed 0.10 first and 0.11 on top of that, no idea why).
