I had my graduation ceremony today. It involved lots of sitting and waiting as one might expect. Pictures are forthcoming.

Next fall, I'm going to graduate school in mathematics. I have no idea how that works in (continental) Europe, but I'm 23 and it's for a doctorate (PhD). It is expected to take 5-6 years total. I'm sure that's enough to find the equivalent Razz

If anyone is wondering about the stuff I'm wearing:

The black robe and black mortarboard (hat) are standard for bachelors degrees at the university. The golden tassel on the mortarboard signifies that my major (math) is part of the natural sciences. The two cords around my neck signify that I graduated magna cum laude. I was also entitled to wear a red stole around my neck since I was in the honors program, but I didn't find that out until afterwards.

This is me holding my diploma cover after the ceremony. You can see that I was just sitting for pretty much three hours straight in an uncomfortable chair.

This next one was actually on Friday, when we had an ivy cutting ceremony. Note that the tassel is on the other side of my hat, since that was before the graduation ceremony.
