After I turned in the assignment on Fri, I was given more time to continue to work on it. The next thing I'm going to edit is the actual vending machine model. Very Happy

But Maya always has the latest version of Mental Ray, which is my rendering engine of choice.

Mental Ray's new features include "very sharp edges" - so you can slit your wrists while you wait for failure-sauce. Razz

Met the human factors lead guy from Autodesk today. I asked him about consistency between Maya and 3DS. He said consistency in all their products was currently the CEOs #1 push! Shocked The intent is to go with "what is best" always and soak up the short-term whining from old users.

We might be seeing one product eventually. I wouldnt be surprised if it looked like that Soft Mod Toolkit Anony posted about a while back - though I didnt ask him about that, just my opinion...

So it's been a while since I've posted any new artwork. But I'd figured I'd let you guys know that I've began posting more of my work as I do it on youtube. A lot of it is experimental studies, but it's rather fun to look at.

I've also began creating some tutorials, most of them basic principles of how to use Maya. I plan to start off small and then working into very specific things like Image Based Lighting, Reflective Mapping, etc. So for now, those of you that are well experienced, I haven't posted much in that regard. There are some particle tutorials if interested though.

Those are pretty good; I like the first one best.

Reminder to those who don't know; the forum shrinks images to fit its boundaries (at least, it should) so you can see larger versions of those by direct access.
