So Bobby got me into this last spring; I have both UT2004 and UT3. Anyone else have it? Putting the bots on their highest and turning up the speed to 1.4 times normal and using only sniper rifles is like a hardcore aiming practice mode.

I have both. I was hoping UT3 would be more mod friendly - and have a user base. Sadly their tools for Maya were lacking, and there were not many UT3 PC sales...

I used to play 2004 for hours a day, but I lost my play disc which had my CD key written on it. I don't pay much attention to the series anymore because the skill gap is humongous. I do miss casual play, though.

Unreal Tournament has been one of my favorites since I got 2k4 back in the day. I still love playing 2004 a lot and I've beaten UT3's campaign (on normal? I think.) They're great games.

UT3 didn't really get the userbase it deserved, I think. It takes a high mid-range to powerful computer to run it, and there's no denying it certainly feels different than the previous versions. That said, I still love it and find it entertaining for hours on end. The mod and user base is smaller, yeah, but it's still there and it's still UT. Very Happy

I hope the huge updates coming will inject some life into UT3 in the eyes of gamers.

I had been talking with Casey about a possible Pirates mod for UT2k4. It might sound blasphemous to some of you, but I think it'd be a great project, as 2004 is very mod-friendly. UT3's mod-friendly, too, but I think it might be better to use a game that will run better on more people's systems. Who knows...

Just to give heads up. UT3 has free weekend on Steam, plus it's price is reduced to 11$ for this period. And it's getting that big content update for it.
