So the 19 year old locks only set of keys in a Kia Sedona. (he lost the other set a while back as well) So panicking comes in to get mcguiver, er massive to help.

The back windows flair out like 2.5" with a latch in the back. used a wire hanger to form a loop hook and pulled the latch (this was hard) til it opened

now we had access, but with only 2 or so inches, would have to be a pole or something to reach the locks. BUT the middle seat blocked access to the lock across the van - so bent an aluminum pole in 2 places to reach the middle seat lever, finally go the seat to lay down some what

Then the pole was about 2' too short to reach the lock. using duct tape (why of course!) taped a hard cardboard tube (12") - dont know where the hell that came from - to the end of the pole. still needed about 1'. Snapped a mop handle in thirds and inserted 1/2 way into cardboard - creating the last bend needed with enough rigidity to push the lock.

it worked! and only took 30 minutes - no swearing I swear. all this at 11pm with a small flashlight Very Happy and saved $60 for a locksmith to come slim jim it in like 3 seconds.
