when i try to boot windows get gets to the windows xp screen then the computer just shuts off. Tried to run in safe mode but the same thing happens. Right now im running linux on my computer off a cd and it works fine.

you can try throwing the XP cd in there and booting from it to get the repair utility....select r at the first screen and then 1 enter (or whatever number the OS is you are trying to fix)

at the prompt type

chkdsk /p

it might fix it Rolling Eyes

ok i got it to work...a file from daemon tools was causing it to die
