I've spent a ton of time just sitting around reading for my one-and-a-half-week break between summer and fall classes, so now I've also read Ender's Game and Stranger in a Strange Land. Planning on Slaughterhouse-Five next.

Gunner -- Ender's Game would actually be one of my recommendations for that (though, some people seem to think it's a ton better than it is). Also all the original James Bond books: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Bond#Ian_Fleming_novels . Maybe Catch-22.

Unless you don't mind something very long -- in which case, The Count of Monte Cristo will always be my recommendation, as while it's not necessarily the best "back-to-reading" book, it's one of the most interesting stories ever written.

Slaughterhouse 5 is really money shit. Everyone who knows how to read should read it, its some thought provoking stuff

Yeah. I have to agree. I spent today absorbing the whole thing at once (which, I gather from a certain part, is possibly the intended experience).

I literally just finished it (so not much time yet for the provoked throughts to be thoroughly thought) and already think it's one of the best I've ever read.
