I always heard good things, but I never got arsed to watching it while it was on TV. I picked up the whole series on a whim (it was like $25) earlier today. I just watched the first episode.

Holy FUCK. Why did they ever cancel that?

2002, I think. The time slot kept changing so they never were able to get a large following. It was a Joss Whedon show, so I had mixed feelings. While it was a good show, it's failure I think is karma for him destroying the Alien series.

I believe the episode I like best is called 'Our Dear Mrs. Reynolds'. You'll love it.

It and the movie Serenity that is based on the series are awesome.

Firefly along with Freaks and Geeks are shows that should not have been cancelled like they were. Shame on the networks.
