Rain box for USAF

I thought about this some. Easiest approach is to rename the crate to rainBox (or what ever you prefer) and just change the name of the .sm file.

Then just rename the .DDS file and black out the alpha texture for transparency. Rename .RS file and rename the texture file to match the new .DDS name and voila.

Reduce, reuse, recycle. Very Happy

Well we could stick an entry in the LST called RainStorm#### and just have it use the exact same mesh as the crate. But I was thinking to make it easier on future mappers we may as well make a couple boxes the same size as the RainStorms, so people can see how much area it covers.

ahhhh i see. You said "any size"... Scope creep.

So what box appears in BC? LOD1? I am thinking collision mesh required either.

What size does the box need to be?

Just make a box sized 1024×x1024×40 and the same thing sized 2048×2048×40 (in BF units). Only needs a visual mesh. Texture I guess could be a nice shade of blue, but prolly should have some transparency since it's supposed to cover the entire map.
