Ever seen the movie Crank?

If you haven't, it's Jason Stahemdef or whatever; if he runs out of adrenaline, he dies.

That is my xbox. If the 360 gets too cool, the video will continually start to tint green, and when it gets too cold, the video dies! I have to throw heavy blankets and heating pads on it to revive it, and sure enough once it gets hot enough it flickers back on. I must have gotten the one magical secret test xbox 360 at launch by mistake.

Has anyone else experienced this phenomena? If you didn't catch it, my xbox 360 is one I bought at launch, 4 or so years ago, never has it red-ringed. I was trying to MAKE it red ring so they would fix it when my video died, and that's how I discovered it had to be on fire to work.

Ha, well microsoft has built in means of testing when an xbox has been "towel tricked", but I don't think those were implemented until after towel tricking was known about. Call up the hotline, describe your issue, and they should send you a box with pre-paid label and you'll be better than new in a few weeks.

That is a very strange case indeed - maybe get a space heater for your box Razz

We just got our first RROD here in the house. My roommates pissed - wondering if we should send it to microsoft or throw it out the window.

There's an unusual amount of defective xbox 360s and Microsoft is being sued at the moment for them. Not sure of the outcome.

Like RROD alone wasn't enough, 360 also has to have problems like E74.
