Post subject: The Punisher: War Zone

Very enjoyable. You can't really rely on any of the reviews for this movie since this time around, it was made specifically for fans of the comic with attention to source material, which which creates a film that the community will like but critics will despise.

The characters are a bit two dimensional and very corny and the vibrant coloring with the lighting at times does remind you of Batman Forever, but it doesn't make the movie too cartoony as it gets balanced out by the massive amounts of violence. I can now proudly say that I've seen a movie where a guy is killed with the leg on a dining room chair.

The bottom line is that if you're a Punisher fan, this movie has alot of elements that you'll be familiar with and enjoy. If you're a comic fan in general and still a bit curious, definitely see a matinee. Anyone else who settles for nothing less than Iron Man will be terribly disappointed.
