XP pro, XP 64 pro, or media center?

just want your opinion on my next operating system.

should i, stay with XP pro???

should i get XP 64 bit? (yes, my cpus will be 64 bit, and yes i did say cpus, as in more than one)

or should i get xp media center or whatever the fuck you call it?

ok.........now here is the biggy, save money and get XP home, or get XP pro.......to be honest, i have not noised too many differences between the 2........

If you want to buy it, get an OEM version of XP Pro.

its a disc with an operating system on it.......what more do i want???? more adds??? more paperwork saying how great microsoft is???? i will just take the disk, thank you.

DirextX10 will require Vista. DirectX10 is a revolutionary new graphics architecture.

If you can wait another few months you should. If you cant, and need a game system for the next gen game, buy DirectX10 compatible hardware and software (i.e. Vista OS).

the hardware will be DX10 compatible, just in case they manage to unfuck vista....but even without DX10 software, the system should still last me at least as long as my last one

i will also get DX10 hardware because it is backwards compatible with DX9.whatever the fuck they are on now, and is good hardware regardless

I really hope Microsoft tries to make Vista work better. If they don't, I'll probably stray away and grab me a Mac. If they do, I may end up getting the OS and putting it on a Mac with one of those Intel chips.

Vista will get better. A lot of it is about secondary software running on it. EVERYONE, not just Microsoft, rolls stuff out without 100% testing. When you consider ALL of the hardware platforms you could create it becomes understandable that some stuff is weird.

My next machine will be Vista.

And DirectX10 compatible hardware is worthless without DirectX10 motherboard and OS. In case I wasn't clear. You cant pick and choose. Razz

When i build next I'll share me pros and woes.
