Actually, he killed his wife and son and then killed himself.

District Attorney Scott Ballard said authorities believe Benoit killed his wife and son at least a day or two before committing suicide. Ballard would not divulge the details of text messages Benoit sent to his colleagues over the weekend but characterized the case as bizarre.

"It applies to details regarding the deaths, but generally speaking anytime there's a murder-suicide it would be considered bizarre around here, particularly for a child. For a 7-year-old child to be killed is bizarre," said Ballard.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation had planned to start autopsies on the bodies Monday night, but those were put on hold until Tuesday. Tests to see whether steroids played a role in the murder-suicide may not be back for weeks or even months, Ballard said.

Sheriff's deputies remained at the house Monday, as curious fans and concerned neighbors looked on.

"We're shocked. You would never dream anything like this would happen in your neighborhood, let alone across the street," said Lorre Jones.

The bodies of Benoit, his wife, 43-year-old Nancy, and son Daniel were found in three separate rooms of the house, which is located off a gravel road about two miles from the Whitewater Country Club.

Neighbors said the pro wrestler kept to himself.

"He wasn't rude but he wasn't really outwardly warm," said Alaina Jones. Her mother, Lorre, said, "My husband had met him and his wife, or came over and said hi. He seemed like a really nice guy."

The WWE paid tribute to Benoit during a televised event Monday night.

Why in the hell would he kill his family too? I couldn't even imagine hurting the people I love. This makes me wonder if there were some strange circumstances.

Employees at Wikipedia.org said the posting went live on their site on Monday at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Police, however, said they found the bodies Monday at 2:30 p.m. EDT.

Ok, here comes the wrestling geek. I was shocked when I heard the news but then i found out that the sick bastard killed his wife and son and didn't give a damn about him. Sure, he was one of the greatest wrestlers ever but to me he just sent that through the drain when he commited this double murder-suicide crime.

The guy was just fucked up mentally.
