Name says it all. Whats left of BFPE is gonna be running a winter CTF tournament.

www.bfpirates.com
Hope to see all of you guys there, you can begin signing your teams up as soon as they are ready.

DE has one full team that will be signed up soon. I am making another team myself and if anyone is interested feel free to let me know.

heh let's try to get more than 2 teams.

I know you guys are moving away from bfp, but it couldn't hurt to play in one last tourney could it?

I can play. But I don't want to. I don't feel like participating in a CTF tourney because it takes too long to do. It reminds me of the SF Tourney... What a waste that was.

It's a struggle alone to play one map of BFP let alone a series of them in competition. I'd rather play a one time event instead.

I'd be up for it, but I doubt there'd be much of a turn out. Considering the lack of BFP activity and the on going school shit, I would bet many people are too busy for a tourny

This is interesting. I never thought the SF tourney was a waste, myself =/

Not to sound confrontational or anything, but I just didn't think the SF tourney was waste at all...

Dun worry, just casual converstation =P I won't jump down your throat about it. But here's my personal opinion.

The matchups were awful, the organization was terrible.

On the very first day I had to fight Brutus. Me vs. Brutus?! That should have been something done near the end. Though I ended up beating him, it still knocked out a very good player who didn't even get past round 1. I shouldn't have won. Brutus has a much better style than me and he was just having an off day.

I noticed that this was happening everywhere. Some of our guys that have the best sword fighting techniques didn't even make it to the finals that really should have.

As for organization, it should have all been done multiple times in a series of a few days. That way if someone has an off day they aren't totally knocked out of the competition. The matches were sooooo small that it was possible to do so. You could say, fight one guy on Wed.,Fri., and Sun. Whoever gets the most kills overall on those days, wins. That weeds out those who've had "bad days".

The map used, sucked. I got motion sickness from seeing all of those wooden walls everywhere. Those little posts that make up the wall? I got sick spinning and fighting that I almost threw up with my fight with both Brutus and Milk.

Like I said, a complete waste. I hated that tourney so much that I don't even recognize it as an event we held. I'm ashamed to.

I liked the sword fighting tourney. I think we could have implemented those ideas into a sequel. We still should Smile

Drunken Monkey:  doing well, been building a hobby ranch of my own, got married, no kids, only dogs, sheep and a horse

Comradekil:  so anyway, i wonder how everyone's lives all progressed.. who's in jail? who's grandparents now.. ha life
Drunken Monkey:  and yes....i do miss 1942 aswell, i honestly think it is what drove me to get a M1 garand in real live, and is still my most used rifle
Drunken Monkey:  bots are getting silly
Comradekil:  Sup dudes
Messy Recipe:  the BAR-1918 always felt so good in that game
Messy Recipe:  I miss vanilla 1942 as much as Pirates... need to see if the Origin version (or even original) still has anyone playing sometime
Stealth:  Hello all! Head to the lounge and post a memory!
Stealth:  I saw a BF1942 fraps video of a guy jumping out of a plane and RPG'd another plane. I immediately came here for nostalgia. Miss you all.
Messy Recipe:  I've not tried Sea of Thieves... kinda was bummed to learn its servers don't allow many simultaneous players. gimme 32v32 galleon fights

[BB]Piccolo:  Anybody playing Sea of Thieves?
[BB]Piccolo:  I'm amazed I actually still knew my login. We Black Buccaneers certainly had a special relationship with you Cut Throats. Nothing like a fierce rivalry to make the battlefield exciting, eh? :)
