other suggestions? they really don't need to be large or even sata for that matter. I probably won't even get these two, I'm just curious which 1 the guru's would pick Razz

I do need a small hard drive, something that will hold the OS(linux) and maybe a few apps. I'm going to throw in a few other large hard drives so I can store stuff on there, ie a music drive a movie drive, etc.......

but for right now I'm just trying to throw all my old parts together and play with linux.

but why not go for a much larger one for only 2x - 2.5x the $ and then partition it?

btw i didn't mention it before, but these drives, not the hard drive for the OS, but the other ones need to be Extremely fast for transferring large files and such Cool

Raptors are overrated. If you want good speed get a good pair of seagates and run them in RAID0.

me, i would get the seagate.......but i would be getting something just a little bit bigger if i was not set on hard drives right now Rolling Eyes
