Help!!!

BF42 won't run. I haven't installed anything, downloaded anything, or touched anything since it last worked. I haven't even shut the comp down or anything. I try joining from ASE and it loads a touch then makes a beep and dies. Same from running regular bf42 from the menu. CD is in drive and seems to be in one piece.

HELP!

I had GTA San Andreas stop working for "no reason," just suddenly began CTDing on game/installer startup; it was my CD/DVD drive.

When I stick in the CD though it autoloads the startup menu for bf42.

When I had problems with the GTA DVD, it would load the autostartup and do the lil movies at the beginning, then crash. After uninstall and trying to reinstall it'd load the menu, I could select language to install in, then it'd load up the GTA installer with its GTA backgrounds and all and I'd see a flash of it before the desktop again. And replacing the drive fixed that.

Just restart your machine. 42 used to do that to me all the time and a restart fixed it every time.
