is it possible for a cd-rom program(directly off cd-rom) you are using to scan background processes? The thing in question is acdrom that uses a webpage to load content for that webpage. I don't want to get to into teh detials.
is there a way I can disguise a given process(MSword)?

^if the detection is not possible, is there a way to see if the cdrom is being accessed by another source while being accessed by the webpage?

If I understand your question the answer is yes. Regardless of the where the .exe file is located, if you run it goes to RAM just like any other application. (meaning it acts just like it was loaded on your C:drive) I think was your question.

I wouldn't worry about "the MS-man" seeing that "student" copy of Word. Wink They could care less I am sure...

No I am running an application whereI might not be allowed to have lets say notes in word. while they specifically havn't narrowed it down and said don't use any ype of background word processing software, while in the middle of a test it gave a a background process sql error, ilegal process or something, of course this was right before I got numerous other login and port 40 sql errors, followed by a we are having problems with the site message. However the initial error was much different than the others, and the test seemed to go by hella slow to submit questions.

Personally I wouldn't want people taking the test to have word open, god knowes what they could have in it, and as a coder I would try to detriment this by using my software to scann processes for specific processes, ie: word notepad etc. I just did a little role reversal and figured I might have been outsmarted, and potentially caught.

Sorry if I'm not to specific in the topic, I really can't be Razz

all you gotta know is that the webpage reads a cd you bought for it's content, articles, quizes, tests, and then you submit answers via the site into your online account in the DB. I just want to know if the CD I run can also run a scan to detect processes that they might not want running during a test per cea. I honestly think it was a site error seeing as it has been crashing, I might just be paranoid, but the error seemed a little too specific
I honestly think an e-quiz ought to be open note, esp. if I don't see anything against it.

Ohhh... So you're taking a test. And you'd like to give yourself some little notes in order to help pass this test.

But they/it view the processes and/or prevents them from being opened? And you'd like to hide it from them/it.

just use your task manager to see what spins up when you start the CD 's app. THen use "Answers that work" or something to identify the new applications. If it isn't a scanning app you are set. I seriously doubt that custom app scans. That aint easy and if it is business giving the test they only want your money. They dont care otherwise...

OH! Put your shit on a webpage! You obviously NEED browser open. Multi-tab browser ftw! Very Happy
