Ok well bf2s forums were right about the date, ea still hasn't made an announcement on their forums though :/
Read what it changed b/c it changed a lot of things. It just says changed award criteria, but doesn't list specifically what. :/

1.3 patch is out!
NEW FEATURES
- Air dropped vehicles: Squad members can now send a request up the chain of command for a vehicle to be dropped at their location.
- Co-op: Co-op Mode allows you to play Single Player levels on the Internet and LAN with both AI controlled bots and human players. Several new options have been created that will allow the server creator to modify how the bots behave in game.
- Number of Bots: This setting allows you to determine the total number of bots that will spawn in game.
- Bot Ratio: This setting allows you to determine the percentage of total bots that will spawn for each team. For example, setting this value to 25 means that 25% of the total bots will spawn in Team 1, and 75% in Team 2. Team 1 is always the MEC, Chinese, or their allies, while Team 2 is always the USA, EU, and their allies.
- Bot Difficulty: This setting determines the skill level of the bots. 10 is easiest, 100 is the most difficult.
- Default Kit Selection: The kit that you used last is remembered at the beginning of the round and between maps.
BUG FIXES & GAMEPLAY TWEAKS
- Fixed issues with remote console and linux server
- Prevented ban list from being cleared in the event of a server crash.
- Fixed the bug where helicopters abandoned in the air would continue flying.
- Fixed issue with player not properly ranking up on servers where they continuously play.
- If the player joins a squad while dead, the player will not be able to use the squad leader as a spawn point until they have respawned once.
- Flag Capture bar now reacts accurately to players entering the capture radius.
- Fixed bug where friendly vehicles showed as valid targets
- Friendly Vehicle lock: Lock-on weapons do not lock on to friendly vehicles. The box with an X through it will still appear, but a lock tone will not sound and then if fired, the missile will not track the friendly target.
- Fixed bug that altered mini map functionality
- Adjusted missile count on BF2SF helicopters.
- Fixed bug with Special Forces rank names.
- Fixed repairing HUD for the engineer when in a vehicle
- Adjusted award criteria
- Fixed a client crash after entering 300 characters into the IP address using "connect to IP"
- Fixed a tech hang when creating a single player account from an offline account
- Fixed crash when switching from BF2 to BF2:SF (or vice versa)
- Fixed a crash caused when a player is joining a map and another player logs into the same account
- Fixed a Dragon Valley exploit
- Fixed a bug on Zatar Wetlands where AA missiles would not lock onto oil towers
- Fixed a bug that caused the Eurofighter explosion to appear as a Mig-29 wreckage
- Armor Bar removed from occupied machinegun emplacements
- Fixed a bug on Kubra Dam and Zatar Wetlands that caused enemy AA sites to not display in bombing HUD
- Special Forces- Firing crossbow from open vehicle position causes others to see player weapon firing
- Fixed Repair Hud for the engineer when in a vehicle and repairing a team mate vehicles
- Fixed a bug on Strike at Karkand where players were able to get inside a building by Train Accident when FF is turned off
- Fixed the commander toys on Wake Island 2007 so that the US can no longer disable the Chinese artillery
- Fixed a bug in Zatar Wetlands 32 where commander assets were not being properly dropped to the location specified by the User.

Jeeps, not carriers or tanks
And they just did more bugs than they fixed. I cant see server info and updating server list is reaaallllyyyy slow, sometimes when i drop health on bridge it just falls through. _________________

yes jeeps on planes helos and tanks, a very effective countermeasure xD
BTW squads are tiotally fucked in the trashcan now...
Also for the latest medal req. check bf2player (it has been gouing up and down all day though)

I get enough trouble with the supply crates falling on me and killing me instantly. xD Now I have to watch the sky for jeeps xD
And I can't ever login. It freezes up on me, but it was probably loading all along then. :/ I have to join through someone in xfire, then when it gets to the loading screen, I have to press Esc to unload the resources. Then, It's at the "Logged In" state where I'm logged in and I have all the menus everywhere. _________________ Motherfucking Triangles! Being all three sided n' shit, who do they think they are?!

When i first time tried to log in with the new patch it tilted but after it it started working somehow. Am I the only one with slow server list updating-problem?
Also I dont have refresh button anymore or I have but only in favourites. _________________

Whole BF2 is a joke. I'm just so sicked how they bring every weapons accurate close to zero, just because fuckers in BF2 keeps whining how other class weapon is so much more accurate. For god sake, shooting standing target shoudn't take one whole clip. And don't give me that "learn to shoot" bullshit. PKM was good excample, it was accurate just like it should be, if only EA would have raised other weapons accurate INSTEAD of making them more inaccurate - they would have winner here.
Also close to none teamwork on servers. What's the fucking deal that you have to use those vehicles alone? People take tanks, jeeps, helos...alone. And the large amount of vehicles in BF2. I just don't get it, why in the hell there has to be 5 APC's on each team + 2 jets + 1 tank + 1 chopter. Stalemate became frigging pathetic because of too mant APC's in it. Every corner you went - APC was there camping. And jets...what is the point of these again, kill teamwork, let score whores spawn camp with them?
And STILL the server browser sucks ass. How can't they do a fucking working server browser? I mean comon, what excuse do they have for that, this is a multiplayer online game after all.
God I only hope BFP2 will be good. And hopefully Forgotten Hope2 will have accurate weapons and aims for a little bit more for realism(even crosshair would be disabled, we have ironsights for reason, why not use it?). _________________

actually, if i could compliment one thing itd be the accuracy of the weapons (at least the ones i use: usually g36, g36-e & g3 (i have a thing for h&k guns)) but the sniper rifles are a bit inaccurate
the vehicles have totally destroyed any balance though... basically, if you find a good camping spot, you win... until the planes come...
and when the plane does come, you can always count on the biggest jackass being in your plane with no clue how to shoot the other ones down ("how do you switch off bumbs again?)
if there was a version of karkand with nothing but humvees, id prolly shit myself with joy _________________
