Alright, I need to transfer my old files from my machine to my new computer. Anyone know how to go about doing that? If I remember, it doesn't like the transfer of much anything...

AND, please don't diss iTunes, cuz I just know one of yall will say, "iTunes FTL" But that doesn't help meh b/c I've already had it for a while now. =)

Take your HD out and put it in the new one, or to avoid voiding (grammar?) your warranty, buy a USB > IDE enclosure and set that pimp up for good.

actually, i use my file server for moving files after a format, same deal

make sure both comps are on the network, share the music folder on the one, go to my computer & type \\(old computer name) & hit enter, then drag & drop

(ok, thats if nothing goes wrong, lol)

There is a certain I-Tunes file in the directory that logs the location of the songs in your library and what rating/information you added to them. It also is keeps track of playlists and such. I will dig for it and try to remember what it's called.

But once found I would copy and paste it over the existing one on your new comp, assuming you keep all your music in the same directory on the new computer.
