The PKM in 1.22:

Previous deviation (.1 deviation):
.3 when standing
.14 when crouched
.08 when prone

For comparison, the QBZ-97 - the most accurate carbine - has a prone deviation of .098.

Current deviation (.35 deviation):
1.05 when standing
.49 when crouched
.28 when prone

For comparison, the M16A2 has a prone deviation of .24.

They are now, when prone, about as accurate as an L85A1. Still more accurate than the G3 and AKs, but no longer more accurate than the carbines, and you will not see people STANDING and using them effectively anymore. Prone is the only way to go. So yes, they put them right in line with the defaut LMGs - still accurate enough to be threatening at longer ranges (and rightfully WMDs at medium and closer ranges), but not so much that you can shoot a tick off a monkey's butt from across the jungle. Some people claim they can still snipe with it, and in some regards that's true because they are still reasonably accurate weapons, but not even close to the pseudo-snipers they were before. At least now other weapons will have a chance against them in long-range shootouts.

Bravo, DICE, and thank you. Pre-1.2 Support veterans should still love the 'new' Support because it kicks the ass of 1.12 Support, but isn't overpowered anymore.

[BB]Piccolo:  I'm amazed I actually still knew my login. We Black Buccaneers certainly had a special relationship with you Cut Throats. Nothing like a fierce rivalry to make the battlefield exciting, eh? :)
