Finally this much waited RPG has some ingame footage:

Even tho. I don't have PS2, but one of my friend has and hes quite a big FF fan himself, aswell. Can't wait for this, hopefully they have made it MUCH better than FF10(damn horrible and boring game).
Should arrive in Europe this year(hopefully), long wait...

The 2nd last console game I will play with this console generator, other is The Legend Of Zelda on GameCube.

Just watched those.

Seems like I'm finally getting my Vagrant Story sequal here, and have waited that for damn long. Didn't really look like FF game at all, like I said VS sequal, so it's strange that they named it as one(well name sells, as always).

Disappointed...as I waited for something like earlier FF games(with rich characters and story). Then again, I'm really suprised(positive way), because Vagrant Story simply was awesome, and seems like this will add things I missed in VS on Playstation(more rich enviroments, AI characters, good music, better combat system).

I'll probably get it... it's supposed to be out around THANKSGIVING :/ but I don't know if I like the new battle system, the whole point of console RPGs for me is that the battle system is NOT like an mmorpg... ah well

Yeah felt kinda strange, but with that kind of system it would be possible to have co-op mode in it. Now that would be AWESOME!

yeah, that would be cool, there was a supposed co-op mode in ff9, where the 2nd player could enter commands for some of the party members, it was quite... pointless

I have watched that for like 3 times now Very Happy

And have you guys seen the FF7 anime thing? Like it shows you what happened before jack got killed and Cloud got in Shinra city, really nice stuff there.
I wonder when SquareEnix starts doing more of those things, like they would be HUGE hit, make whole game as anime(same with FF8 and FF9 <3<3<3).

I saw the Japanese version w/ English subtitles. :} But I'm going to get the one with English voice-overs when it comes out.

guys lemme put all of final fantasy in perspective for you

theres differect sects to final fantasy fans

theres the retro ones, who enjoy everything from 1-6

the kids who claim they are ff gods who love 7

the kids who enjoy the casual ff who love 8

the kids who enjoy the casual ff but with a decent story line based around an extremely easy game who like 9

the new age ffers who like 10 and 11

we are unsure how 12 is gonna impact thsi sect

retro kids: in my opinion ff6 rivals ff7 story line wise nad gameplay wise its just a fuckign amazing game all around. the retro kids usually dislike 7 alot, and 8 as well, and pretty much the rest of them, but revere 6 as the best game in the series, imho its up there.

the problem with the kids who claim that they are ff gods: they are too closed minded to the rest of the games and they all think 8 is the worst ever, which it isnt its just a drastic change from the normal. although 7 was an amazing game, open up your spectrum and enjoy the others.

the kids who love the casual ff: arent into the whole ff series but found entertainment in somehting that reflects normal life. dont give a shit about the rest of ff

the kids who like 9: they are the ones who are open to the rest of the series because 9 didnt close itself off the the rest of the series by tring somehting new and drastic, it pulled the successful elements from previous games and patched it all together.

the new age ffers: if you aint down pass the blunt to the homie on the left.

they are all great games in my opinion. ive played 6-10 and tactics advance. and ive tried 11 but didnt enjoy it.

while searching through all the many ff fansites i just sort of noticed that all the ff fans fit into those catagories. maybe i might be a bit off on a few but its a rough idea.

My favorite is 7, but i also enjoyed 3, 9, 10, and 10-2 as well, i dont intend to play 11, but im pretty excited for 12
