I've gone through two crappy printers lately, one a hewlet-packard that suddenly crapped out on me and now a dell printer that you get when you buy a computer. Need a suggestion for a durable, and long lasting printer.

I've got a HP 5510 All in One that works good. Only word of caution I would have on it is get the authentic cartridges and avoid the recycled/refilled ones. We've had problems with those.

QFE never had a problem with a HP well that's a lie, the rubber belt on the old one broke up, but it was 6 years old, so......

I also got a cheap HP here at college.

I have an Epson 740 that has been the shizzle for 6 years. Well some cleaning issues that were a pain when it sat a long time but no biggies. I would recommend one.

I read reviews when i bought mine. Who knows what they are like now. Check out some reviews. Very Happy I recommend sites like Tomshardware.com and anandtech.com over the more commercial sites.

I have Canon Pixma MP150, it has scanner, costs 80 euros. Only whats different from MP450 is that it doesnt have tft-screen and its 70 euros cheaper. It also win some finnish printer tests.
Pic quality is good, printing speed: 22 black/white in min and 17 colored.
Its is damn good when looking at price (better than many 130-200 costing)
Only bad thing is that it keeps small noise while scanning/printing but only few secs.

I have a canon 1550 and it has been good to me. We have had it for probably a little under 5 years now and they are still selling cartridges for it.
