I have no idea of what College I'll go to. Today there were a ton of Universitys from PR and like 2 of them were the Marine and the Army. It seemed cool to be in the Marines, I wouldn't have a problem attaining to everyones orders but the one problem would be that I'm lazy as fuck, if they told me that I had to get up at 6 I would get up at 1. ^_^

Ya, thats pretty ignorant. The armed forces can really be a good decision for certain people. Then again it can be hell for others. But it's not like entering the armed forces is suicide, actually, it's probably the opposite. If you see it as that, then you obviously dont have much trust in your armed forces.

Armoured vehicles, bodily protection, a gun, a bunch of buddies with guns, peak physical condition...

Though if you're lazy enough to not get up when ordered to, you might not like it all too much.

Sprite I WAS lazy too. I BARELY graduated even - I think only because my teachers liked me. Razz Now I am an overachiever uber-worker. I work hard enough that people don't care WHEN I come to work or even what days I go to work.

The military will allow you to figure yourself out unlike anything else you are likely to experience. As you can tell I do recommend it.

I would recommend the Navy specifically. Even if you go Army or Marines you are VERY VERY VERY unlikely to die. Rolling Eyes Do the math, even during times of war... In Gulf War I we actually had a lower death rate in the service because the combat casualty rate was less than drunken driving accident fatality rate for servicemen at home. Rolling Eyes

The reason I recommend the Navy specifically is:
1: you will see more
2: they are forced to do more with fewer people - which means MORE training and more TECHNICAL training to boot.

The joke goes "entering the Navy was the 2nd best thing I ever did. The best thing I did was get out of the Navy." If you do go in the military look at it as a path to the rest of your life - not a filler while you"decide". You can get AWESOME training for free - better than college.

The danger is, don't let them give you some junky job. Carrying a gun sounds cool but it isn't like the movies. It gets really old really quick... Get a job in the military that you KNOW will translate into a cool civilian career.

I don't mind the Army, etc.

Though, having a scholiosis really does suck... and limits myself.

Playing with expensive toys that the government paid for = FUN. Especially if its explosives!

Seriously, I really don't know what I'm going to be doing either =D
Maybe some prostitution.

I hate to say it but there are a lot of people I come across every day that would benefit from the military. Some kids I know just fit the job, and as much as I concern for their safety, the military really is a good choice for a lot of kids who arent' as bright.

For someone like myself, it's a no go. I don't follow orders. Ever since I was a wee lad I always argued everything with my parents.

Sprite I think the military would be a good option for someone like you, as long as you didn't tell your comrades of your ball-shaving antics. I could see you getting pretty far to be honest.

On the other side of the coin I think you could do fine in college as well. You could do a nifty job as a cool kid. Maybe you could move to America and enlist here. Apparently they pay for your college tuition or some BS?

Some former AGHS student came in and lectured us about how he works as a simple mechanic in the Navy and how it's perfect for a guy like him. They pay for his night classes and stuff. Apparently if you work for 20 years you get 50% of your retiring rank's pay for the rest of your life.

Now the real question is......... where is wang going to college? Harvard? Yale? Princeton? Cornell?
