Any better way to color it than color overlay or am I missing something? Sorry, never really used vector shapes until now!

Shapes tool on the toolbar. Should be right of the pen tool. Custom shapes are the star shaped blob on the bar up above. Click it and see the custom shapes. Yours will be @ the bottom.

Oh yeah sorry. Once you have the custom shapes tool selected, in the very top menu, there should be a color box. Select the color you want, then left click on the canvas and make your shape. Once you have your shape made, you can right click on it in the palette menu and click rasterize layer, so you can erase, set blending modes, etc.

Hey what do you do to use this on pictures well? Like how are you selecting the stuff with marquee? Color range or someshit?

Here's my first attempt at doing this while drunked still, plus I rushed it...
