When I got the trial everyone said "We lost him." and many "Fight the addiction" sigs. Well, then I bought it a few weeks ago and I have been playing almost everyday.

And that right there should be enough reason to stop.

The first step in stopping is Accepting what you are.

Most everyone stays in the "denial" state.

Whats so addictive in WoW? Yes i played it almost 500 hours but i stopped when i saw how much i played. It just good game that takes a lot of time. You start playing and suddently you see that you've played 2 hours.

An Addiction is a non-stop constant habit of any kind. In this case, it's WoW. You could be playing WoW for hours on end and not know it, as well as any other game.

You played for 500 hours. For the duration of that time, you had no idea how much time you were spending on that one game alone. Hell I don't think most of us BFP regulars have 300 hours of BFP Playing time Total (since we transferred from xfire that records that).

Hello, my name is Jeremy F. and I'm a Battlefield2aholic.

I have been playing for over 200 hours, but it has been 10 hours since I played last....every hour is a struggle. At times, I've given up sleep, days at work, time with family and friends, even sustenance to feed my addiction

I to am a BF2 addict, although I haven't been able to play in over a week. I now have the shakes and see spiders on my arms.

I am proud to say that I played WoW, but never got addicted. Why? The game as a whole wasnt that fun to me, once you noticed its repetitive as fuck nature. Your guy goes into a new town, gets every quest (which are basically all the same, kill 15 ________ and collect their _______ to bring back) then you get some money, and buy or find more shit. Repeat. It just didnt stick with me, so I dropped that shit after about a month. Fuck WoW.

IMO video games are is still better than passively watching tv for the same amount of time like many of our purely couch-spud peers.

I have missed work a few times playng games - but never when it was critical. When I went back I was refreshed and happier for the stimulation and challenge (however virtual).

I dont usually play until after my kids go to bed or if I have important stuff happening at work. The things that truly REQUIRE your time do get it. The rest is yours. Enjoy it. Very Happy

Drunken Monkey:  doing well, been building a hobby ranch of my own, got married, no kids, only dogs, sheep and a horse

Comradekil:  so anyway, i wonder how everyone's lives all progressed.. who's in jail? who's grandparents now.. ha life
Drunken Monkey:  and yes....i do miss 1942 aswell, i honestly think it is what drove me to get a M1 garand in real live, and is still my most used rifle
Drunken Monkey:  bots are getting silly
Comradekil:  Sup dudes
Messy Recipe:  the BAR-1918 always felt so good in that game
Messy Recipe:  I miss vanilla 1942 as much as Pirates... need to see if the Origin version (or even original) still has anyone playing sometime
Stealth:  Hello all! Head to the lounge and post a memory!
Stealth:  I saw a BF1942 fraps video of a guy jumping out of a plane and RPG'd another plane. I immediately came here for nostalgia. Miss you all.

[BB]Piccolo:  Anybody playing Sea of Thieves?
[BB]Piccolo:  I'm amazed I actually still knew my login. We Black Buccaneers certainly had a special relationship with you Cut Throats. Nothing like a fierce rivalry to make the battlefield exciting, eh? :)
